A £25 deposit is payable at the time of booking to confirm the hire.

 

Bookings of the hall for under 21's, large catered events and for functions where the consumtion of alcohol will take place require a security deposit of £150 payable in cash at the commencement of the hire.

 

Deposits are returned after a satisfactory daylight inspection of the premises

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Temporary Event Notification (TEN)

If you are planning an event at which alcohol will be sold you will need to complete a TEN

Under the New Licensing Act 2003 only twelve TEN's are allowed for the Village Hall each year.  These cost £21 each and take about one month to obtain.  Two copies of the notice must be sent to South Holland Council and one copy to the Police (see addresses below) A copy of the acknowledged TEN signed by South Holland Council must be supplied when the hall is booked for your event.

The proceedure to book the hall where the sale of alcohol is to take place is as follows:

  1. Provisionally book the hall with the Booking Secretary
  2. Complete and send to South Holland Council and the Police
  3. Once your TEN is returned from SHC fill in the booking form and send with a copy of your TEN and your deposit to the Booking Secretary to confirm your booking
  4. If your TEN is refused, and you want your provisional booking cancelled please notify the Booking Secretary
